No: Postoperative swelling as well as discomfort can vary greatly from patient to patient. The location and development of the wisdom teeth in the jaws, surgical technique and instruments used, medications used and/or prescribed before, during and after surgery, as well as the experience of the surgeon are factors that can affect the degree of swelling.
