Heat shock protein: Heat shock proteins are groups of 60 kd, 70 kd o 80 kd proteins that are increased with heat stress and sometimes other types of stress. These proteins fold ad unfold other proteins. Ubiquitin is a 9 kd protein that marks other proteins for destruction.
