Get a medical opinio: While melanoma is a serious cancer the chances are great that it is a blood blister, especially if it appeared suddenly, and it should fade in a few days. If it has been around for months or even years then the risk of melanoma is greater. Have it checked out if it doesn't fade quickly but don't lose sleep over it.
