A member asked:

Will the popping in my ears go away from an ear infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, patience..: The popping occurs from plugged eustachian tubes and trapped fluid and air bubbles in your middle ear space. This stuff doesn't clear up overnight. It can take weeks (sometimes 6-8) for this fluid/air mixture to clear after it accumulates in the middle ear. Chew gum, plenty of humidity, sometimes decongestants can help. If bad pain see doc to make sure not infected.
