A member asked:

Why is there selective proteinuria in nephritic and nonselective proteinuria in nephrotic syndrome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Whoa: Who's your instructor? In nephrotic syndrome, the proteinuria may be selective (mostly albumin, as in most cases of minimal changed disease and any other cause of proteinuria in which the gbm is only modestly damaged) or nonselective (lots of globulin also, as see in the more severe nephrotic syndromes).
