Pregnancy: They can be accurate but sometimes urine pregnancy tests can fail. If in doubt , wait a couple of more days and repeat it. If very anxious about knowing, go to your obgyn and have a blood test drawn tomorrow. That will tell you for sure, although if done very early all tests will say negative.

Timing ; technique: Did you miss a period? Was there one line or two? Did you follow the instruction in the kit? If you are 4-5 days past the due date for your period, you may wish to repeat the test. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions in the kit carefully.
