Vertigo: That is what benign positional vertigo is. The problem is in the inner ear or the cochlea and the semicircular canals, so no pain. There is inflammation in the tubes. The tubes have hair cells or nerve. The inflammation displaces them from usual position. So with each head movement the fluid touches the wrongly positioned nerves, tell the brain wrong head position and confusion of interpretation.
