See you PCP: There are many causes of back pain in the lower back depending on what you mean by exertion. As we get older, our back which have been subjected to stress and strain by just nearing the weight of the whole, can also be from osteoarthritis , a degenerative disease. A sudden pain could be due to a herniated disc so it is wise to see your pcp and have it x-rayed.
