Other causes for dysphagia include oropharyngeal (plummer-vinson syndrome), schatski ring, and zenker's diverticulum. These have varying degrees of dysphagia, and not all are progressive.

Can be: Dysphagia is the sensation that solid food or liquids are getting "stuck" with swallowing. Esophageal cancer can be the cause due to narrowing. Or it may be something simple or benign. One should see their primary care provider and under go an esophagram or endoscopy.
