Don't know how old you are but your symptoms suggest early arthritis if you are middle aged.If younger, ulnar sided symptoms could involve the ligament complex(tfcc).Radial side wrist popping could be a scapholunate ligament injury, ganglion cyst or kienbock's disease.See an ors for exam and x-rays . Wrist tendons: Can "creak" when fingers are moved, a common problem is tendonitis , especially at the base of the thumb near the radius as the thumb tendons move. Other areas can be involved and other structures like ligaments and bones can mke sound too but often this is dequervainsand it has a strong association with the "creaking" called peritendinous crepitans ( fancy name for creaky tendon).
