Numb finger: There are many many causes of a numbness, caused by a nerve being compromised....Pressure from habitually holding an object in one way, or on the nerve farther away, from cysts or spurs. Some disease like diabetes and thyroid disorders can predispose to nerves being injured the duration depends on the cause. Consult a neurologist.
