Plantar fasciitis: If pain is on weight bering and no trauma then it is probably plantar fasciitis.

Heel spur syndrome: Sounds like heel spur syndrome. Either a spur, bursitis or plantar fasciitis. Wearing a high feel relieves tension on achilles tendon and plantar fascia which attach to heel bone, hence relieving pain. Also a higher heel shifts weight bearing to front of foot and away from bottom of heel. Supportive shoes, orthotics and stretching exercises are often helpful as well as ice and massage, .
