Very unlikely: It is possible to get colon cancer at the age of 21 but extremely unlikely. Colon cancer screening generally starts at the age of 50, unless there is a history of colon cancer in your family.

Yes: Unfortunately, it is possible to have colon cancer at ages starting as early as 15, .Though that is very rare. Usually younger patients that have colon cancer have a very strong family history of colon cancer from a variety of genetic diseases. Also, some pts with inflammatory bowel disease such as crohn's dz and ulcerative colitis can develope colon cancer at an early age, but that's rare..

If genetically susce: Patients with family history of certain mutations can develop colon cancer at an early age. For a person without such history, it is very unlikely to have colon cancer at 21.
