Yes: Scleroderma is a very rare autoimmune disease with is generally without any effective treatment. Patients with this disorder often have a progressively worsening disease with a poor outcome. To date, no effective treatment has been found to prevent the ultimate outcome of this very unfortunate disorder.

Usually: Some people can go into remission but usually it stays can be present for a lifetime. Each person's scleroderma is different and treatment depends on the involvement externally or internally.
