Best to see dentist: If it is "all of the sudden", make sure the brown spot is not from popcorn skin stuck on tooth. Otherwise, it may be from a reaction with food particles on the surface of the tooth. If it is a superficial stain, a regular hygiene cleaning may be all you need. If they are cavities that were uncovered when calculus (tartar) came off suddenly, and now that you see them, you need dentist's help.
