Various types: Most "veneers" dentists refer to are typically porcelain veneers. They are best after the gum height becomes stable around age 20 ; up. You could get them at a younger age, but the edge ("margin") may become more visible if the gum moved up higher with age--more common among age 6-20. In-chair composite veneers are good for any age group, but the result depends on the dentist's skills.
