The maximum: Daily allowance of Ibuprofen is 2800mg - 3200 mg (short term use only). The otc tablets come in 200mg strength. You can always alternate tylenol (acetaminophen) with advil in instances of acute pain. Always consult with your doctor or pharmacist for appropriate dosing. Hope this helps.
