2-3 days: On average 1-2 days. Sometimes as long as one week. Majority of my patient has no pain at all after treatment. Take the pain medicine your dentist prescribed. If you are concerned talk to your dentist.

1-4 days: pain is probable after root canal but for a short time. 1-4 days. thats common.

Up to 7 days: Pain and discomfort is common after a root canal up to 7 days. If pain continues for more than 7 days or gets progressively worse, contact your dentist for evaluation.
