Anytime: Let your comfort be your guide -- in general one week after should be ok to resume regular diet. Just keep the sockets clean!

As soon as you can: You may want to begin with a soft diet immediately following surgery, while your mouth is still numb. As the anesthetic begins to wear off, you can advance your diet as tolerated. Staying hydrated is important, so an adequate fluid intake is important.
