Check back w dentist: Antibiotics do not cause gum pain. However, taking antibiotics significantly reduce the number of bacteria living in your mouth, and as a result, you may get fungal infection--fungus can grow so well now that only few bacteria live and there is lots of room for fungi to grow. This would definitely cause sore mouth, including sore gums. See a dentist to find out why if it persists.
