A member asked:

Please tell me if you can hallucinate after waking up without paralysis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hallucinating sleep: Yes you can hallucinate during sleep cycles as you enter or emerge from sleep. Typically the hallucinations associated with sleep paralysis are more troublesome since often frightening visions occur and since the motor response is blocked these individuals can be terrified but unable to react. I would hope the hallucinations that might occur without paralysis are much less troublesome.
