Depends on severity: A partial tear that does not need surgery can heal in 3 to 4 weeks. A ruptured achilles that needs surgical repair will be a lengthy process: 3 to 4 week with cast and crutches, another 3 weeks in a walking cast then another 3 weeks of physical therapy to restore strength, flexibility and motion.
