Tongue: Many possibilities. Your jaw joints may not be in the right place (dislocated), or your body is trying to get more airway space during sleep, or you may have some psychological issues leading to a certain habit, or neurological disorder--purely from medical issues or drug use--legal or not. I would see a dentist/surgeon who is trained to run a diagnostic work-up, ; see an md to get referrals.
