A few days: You should be pretty well recovered after a few days. If not talk to your surgeon as there is quite a bit of variation depending on the severity of the surgery and who has done it for you.

With any surgery there will be post-surgical discomfort. Intensity will be based on your health, the degree of difficulty of the surgery, and how well you follow your Surgeon's post-op instructions. Discomfort should start easing off 48-72 hours after the surgery, and you will be pretty much totally asymptomatic by the end of the 2nd week. Best thing you can do is go into surgery healthy. Floss!!!
