Drinking and bacteria: No , in pretty much all cases it's going to not make things any better and probably worse. Very light drinking of red wine may improve bacterial content of your gut but that doesn't have anything to do with an infection. Time and usually the appropriate antibiotic -there are many antibiotics each or for various infections -will help the situation or cure.
