I do not want to die. i just want to know how to prevent an infection. is using the band-aid disinfectant foaming stuff good to use?

My, the drama!: It is extremely rare these days for people to die of infections starting in cuts or other minor wounds. For typical cuts and scrapes, just keep it clean and dry until healed. Disinfectants don't help much, but they don't hurt anything, so feel free if it gives you more confidence. Most important, see a doctor ASAP if a wound develops spreading redness, fever, or a red streak up the arm or leg.
