Painful menstruation: You can use Ibuprofen for painful menstruation when your period starts. I often tell patients with a regular period to start using them 1 day in advance to stop naturally ocurring substances inside the uterus that cause pelvic pain. However be advised of side effects related to nsaids (ibuprofen ) when used on a regular basis.
