Depends: A condom is primarily for the prevention of spread of disease and if one of you is infected, you will need the condom until the disease is conquered. A second use for a condom is to prevent pregnancy, and the use should continue until some other method of birth control is used. Otherwise the use of the condom can be abandoned.
