Cure not a good word: A better word is control. If caught early and treated properly, attacks can be minimized in both frequency and severity. Allergy triggered asthma can be further controlled by removing or at least reducing your contact with them. Animal dander, dust mites, pollutants, etc are common triggers.

Define asthma: Much of the wheezing in early childhood is treated with the same meds as asthma, but it is not. Many of these have infection triggered wheezing and will grow out of the tendency by age 5 or so. I don't consider these true asthma and seldom use the label in the young.True asthma is a long term condition. It has a genetic component and environmental triggers. You learn to control it.
