Nothing different: Usually ordered for work up for lower extremity symptoms ie weakness or pain not seen on lumbar MRI also very good for showing acute strokes of the spinal cord , tumors, dural fistula, myelitis from viral infection and multiple sclerosis lesions. Also a very common site for spinal cord herniation syndrome and the site for spontaneous dural CSF leaks leading to chronic low pressure headaches.

Read on: There are 12 thoracic vertebrae . The MRI would give us information about the spinal cord in this area and the related soft tissue structures as well as those vertebrae.
