Somewhat: Removing the stent will cause some ureteral spasm and discomfort. I would recommend taking some Ibuprofen (if okay for you to take) about 45 minutes prior to removing your stent. The discomfort may persist for about 24 hours. Try drinking lots of fluids, most people are happy to get the stent out!
