What are the differences between lattice degeneration and snail-track degeneration?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably None: Lattice degeneration (ld) of the retina is a peripheral thinning that may develop holes within the thinning or along the edge of the ld. The vitreous forms a lacuna over the lattice attached along its edge. The "edge" holes are high risk due to poss vitreous traction and treated with laser. Ld usually looks like a lattice fence, hence the name. Snail track looks whiter but otherwise the same.
