Bone spurs at the: Tip of the elbow, an inflamed burial sac of fluid, gouty deposits, tendinitis, a foreign body, a small tiny fragment of bone from trauma are all common causes of sharp pain at the very tip of the elbow or olecranon. If rest, otc medications and avoidance of contact type of trauma do not make it subside, seek medical attention for an exam and probable xray.
