A member asked:

Can crohn's be diagnosed without colonoscopy or other invasive testing procedures?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diagnosis suspected : ...If your GI imaging radiograph (ct enterography, mr enterography, small bowel study) shows "skip lesions" ; if your ibd markers are consistent with crohn's, however, there is no substitute for procedural evaluation at which time visual inspection can be accurately assessed ; biopsies taken. Finding granulomas on those biopsies is highly supportive of a crohn's diagnosis then.
