Good reason: A contact lens prescription is only vaild for one year and should not be given again without examination. A contact lens is a medical device and hence certain things need to be monitored when you are using them. Problems can arise before a patient feels them that could threaten your vision. Seeing your eye doctor each year is a measure to protect your vision.
