Probably not: "degenerative arthritis in.. Back" is probably unrelated to her problems. That usually refers to osteophytes on the margins of vertebrae, something that is actually usually asymptomatic and just a phenomenon of aging, not a cause of pain. Evaluation by a rheumatologist should help.
