Possibly: Part of the symptom complex of adhd is the distractibility. You know you have a task to do, but you get distracted by something else to do, see, etc, and all of a sudden the deadline is there. However, adhd is not the only explanation for this type of behavior. Depressed people can put things off like this, and i treated one kid who put things off because of an anxiety disorder. So look into all!

ADHD: Many people with adhd procrastinate and find themselves doing things at the last minute. It is not directly due to adhd, but to associated executive function disorder. An educational consultant or psychologist who deals with executive function disorder should be very helpful.
