.: Get a physical exam as soon as possible. Low back pain that worsens with pain needs to be checked immediately.

Need an examination: You are fairly young to have degenerative changes but spinal pain should be evaluated by an expert. Have your pcp refer you to his favorite spine person. This could be a physiatrist (pm;r), anesthesiology pain physician, orthopedist or neurosurgeon. All have the expertise to assess you properly with a history and examination followed by imaging studies if needed.
