Disabling pain: Everyone is welcome to have some pain in the knee that comes and goes with activity. The pain is "serious" is if it is constant, effects your ability to function or sleep at night. If it causes you to limp, associated with swelling , locking, buckling, giving way and difficultly with stairs you should seek medical attention.
