Not easy to tell: Having "safe" and avoiding "dangerous" foods (food restriction), excessive physical exercise for the purpose of burning calories, hording or hiding food, obsessing about food - these could be precursors of an eating disorder - or not. Many women who don't develop eating disorders diet and are concerned about their body image. But when the concern becomes an obsession, then watch for it.
