Sometimes: Some cases of asperger's disorder are inherited. In many cases there is a parent with an anxiety disorder or when one parent has an anxiety disorder and the other has a right hemisphere weakness. There are degrees of being affected so a parent may not be symptomatic of asperger's disorder.
