Fear of injury: Many people find cognitive behavioral therapy very useful in overcoming phobias and fears. For this you would consult a psychologist, psychiatrist, or other therapist who does this work. There would be an evaluation first, to explore the problem and make sure what's being dealt with. Therapy involves a combination of in-person sessions and generally also some homework outside of sessions.

CBT: Seek a cognitive-behavioral therapist who specializes in phobias. One method they use is systematic desensitization which slowly and incrementally brings the person closer and closer to the thing they are afraid of in slow, graduated steps that help make the anxiety more tolerable.
