Sometimes: Many food allergies in children resolve spontaneously including milk, egg, wheat, soy (but not nuts or peanuts). Sometimes environmental allergies will resolve over time, but not as common as above food allergies. Nickel, gold, latex, poison ivy and other contact allergies do not resolve.

Help is available: Allergy symptoms usually decrease with age. Taking appropriate medication is helpful. Avoidance of triggers and if appropriate, allergy desensitization injections (allergy shots) can help tremendously. People who are terribly allergic to dust mites may benefit from moving to dry places. Better see a board-certified allergist immunologist.
