Possibly: In all likelihood you had two separate situations going on a sunburn and probably a mild viral illness. However excessive sun exposure without a means of reducing your temp can lead to a fever even heat stroke. If you are out in the sun stay hydrated and try an get a few breaks from the sun not only for your skin but to cool down .
