Is thoracic outlet syndrome fatal?

No.: There is no known mortality associated with thoracic outlet syndrome, but complications can arise during surgical treatment.

No: Thoracic outlet syndrome is not a fatal illness at all. It is symptoms of pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hand and arm due to compression of the nerves or blood vessels in the neck that are going to the hand and arm.

No: Treatments should be guided by a physical therapist & include reestablishment of superior trapezius muscle strength, reduction of shoulder girdle muscle spasms, & reduced shoulder sloping.  yoga, massage, corticosteroid injection, iontophoresis, phonophoresis, and biofeedback are useful.  exercises undertaken in warm water (aqua therapy) is preferable to land-based physical therapy. Not fatal.
