Cold sore vs : Pimple. A cold sore is a lesion with blisters (lip, chin, cheek, nostril ; sometimes mouth) which causes burning, pain ; itching. It breaks open ; releases fluid that is teaming with the herpes simplex type 1 virus. Acne could present as a white head, a black head, cystic acne etc.
