Calculate your BMI: Assuming average activity level, body mass index (bmi) is a good measurement of "too skinny or heavy." ideal bmi ranges from 18.5 to 25. Bmi <18 is too skinny, 25-30 is overweight, 30-35 is obese, >35 magnifies the medical consequences of obesity. Teenagers that are too skinny are also at medical risk--for impaired growth, delayed puberty, etc. For example, a 5'6" girl should weight 121-150 lbs.
