Yes: Stretch marks generally come from rapid changes in your body shape, usually from an increase in the size. Many teenage girls get stretch marks around their hips/thighs as they grow taller. Most women get stretch marks during pregnancy. Significant weight changes can cause stretch marks, but so can growth spurts.
