How expensive are mental hospitals in general?

Not published: One of the problems facing america today is that hospitals do not publish their rates. It is not like a hotel chain where you can call and ask for how much it costs to stay in a room for a night. The bottom line is that you just get to find out after-the-fact when your bill was sent to your home. I can only tell you that a hospital stay is very expensive.
