How enlarged is a pineal gland measuring 1.0 x 5.9 cm ? i read normal pineal gland measures 5 to 8 cm. so is it really enlarged then?

Seems enlarged: Are you sure you don't mean mm rather than cm. A 5x8 cm pineal gland or anything else in the brain that size is really large. If your measurements were in mm that would be within normal limits. That is, 1x5.9mm is quite normal for a pineal gland.
